Mr. Writer: a minimalistic, distraction-free, portable text editor with some twists

QUICK START

Press Ctrl+N to start a new document, use right-click to access to commands, press F1 to show main accelerator keys, press Ctrl+Q to close

FEATURES

– rtf basic text formatting (bold/italic/paragraph alignment)
– chapter/section subdivision F2
– characters/locations/notes per document F3
– note per chapter/section F4
– day/night colour modes F10
– full screen/windowed mode F9
– help screen with main commands F1
– 3 different file formats:
txt (won’t keep text formatting)
rtf
rtz (a zip, with separated rtf and txt files, per chapter/section)
– every feature is available using right-click / main features have also accelerator keys

No installation. Just unzip the package somewhere and run the executable. It will write its ini file and cache dir in its own folder.

SPELLING CHECKER

Mr. Writer uses (if it’s present) Hunspell: http://hunspell.github.io/
Put more dictionaries in hunspell subfolder and then close&reopen the  program to let it see them.
